There are so many places on my to-do list, I know I'll never get to see all the places I read about. One reason I created this blog is so that I can enjoy a virtual vacation each time I look at another exciting vacation destination. I'd love to hear from readers who visit these places and see how their trips went, so feel free to share!
Barcelona
Barcelona may not be tropical, but it certainly is an exciting place to visit. It is the second largest city in Spain and located on the Mediterranean Sea. While there are many incredible things to see in Barcelona, let's look at just a few.
- La Rambla: Comprised of five streets in one long row, La Rambla is filled with mimes, living statues, a bird market and many vendors selling anything you can imagine. You'll want to spend a day here. You can also rent beautiful apartments here by the day or longer.
- Barri Gotic: Just a little northeast of La Rambla is Barri Gotic. Being a fan of old architecture, this sounds like an amazing place to me. It is filled with medieval Gothic buildings from the 14th and 15th centuries as well as many bars, cafes and affordable Barcelona accommodations.
- Museu Piccaso: This museum is worth the trip all by itself. If you are an art lover, be sure you visit Museu Piccaso to see the incredible work of Pablo Picasso and well as that of other talented artists.
